I recently visited Parklands Primary School, and toured the new facilities there with members of the school staff.
Like many of the schools which I visit, I hosted a question-and-answer session with a group of young pupils on a variety of topics related to my role as a Member of Parliament.
I was very pleased to hear of their keen interest in the functions of Parliament and my day-to-day work, and that discussing my work with them has spurred their interest in the political process.
It has always been a pleasure to visit schools across Northampton and hear from staff about how the school has progressed and meet the bright, inquisitive pupils. The welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at Parklands School was very impressive and I enjoyed the visit very much.
